Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in one or more of the seven Rotary Areas of Focus<\/a>.<\/p>\nYou can use global grants to fund:<\/p>\n

- Humanitarian projects that support the goals of one or more of the Rotary Areas of Focus<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- Global Grant Scholarships for graduate-level academic studies that relate to one or more of the Areas of Focus<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Global Grants Must:<\/h3>\n
- \n
- Have a Host Partner in the Rotary District where the project will be implemented.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Your Host Partner club and Rotary District must also be qualified to participate.<\/li>\n
- Project site must be outside of the United States<\/li>\n
- Be sustainable and include plans for long-term success after the global grant funds have been spent<\/li>\n
- Include measurable goals that are demonstrated through progress reports<\/li>\n
- Align with one of our seven areas of focus<\/li>\n
- Address an important need identified by the community itself<\/li>\n
- Strengthen the community’s capacity to meet its own needs<\/li>\n
- Include active participation from both Rotarians and community members<\/li>\n
- Have a minimum budget of $ $30,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

How do I apply for a global grant?<\/h3>\n
Qualification & Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n

- To qualify, one or more members (s) of your club must attend a Grant Management Seminar (GMS) and Global Grants Workshop for the Rotary Year pertaining to the grant.<\/li>\n
- Your 2024-2025 Club President and President-elect must sign The Rotary Foundation Memo of Understanding (MOU)<\/a> and D-5960 Addendum to TRF MOU.<\/a><\/li>\n
- VERY IMPORTANT<\/strong> <\/span>Contact the Grants Team Leader, Jim Hunt<\/a> for a mentor.<\/li>\n
- Your club must be current on reporting for all of your open and completed grants.<\/li>\n
- You must have a Host Partner.<\/li>\n
- Your Host Partner club and district must also be qualified to participate.<\/li>\n
- Project site must be outside of the United States<\/li>\n
- Before entering information into the online RI GG Application, you must work with a mentor. The DDF for your global grant will be awarded at a special meeting in May or June of each year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

NOTE: Global Grant Applications<\/a> <\/strong>are completed online via the Rotary International website.<\/p>\n

- If the Grant Team approves funding for your grant, you can then begin the online application. Log into my.rotary.org<\/a>. Sign in using your email address and password. Register if you don\u2019t have an account. Your name will appear towards the bottom left corner of the login page.<\/li>\n
- Click Grant Center box<\/li>\n
- Select Apply<\/em> for a Grant<\/li>\n
- Scroll down and select grant type \u2013 choose global grant<\/li>\n
- Start entering the Grant Application.<\/li>\n
- A Global Grant ID number will be provided.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
COMMENT:<\/strong> Use the list of resource links on the screen to answer many of your questions for and during the process. Also, talk with your mentor.<\/p>\n

How are global grants funded?<\/h4>\n

- The D-5960 match is 1:1. The maximum D-5960 DDF match is $25,000 for any one project. The actual amount is
based on DDF available.<\/li>\n - You can partner with other Clubs and Districts to increase the cash and DDF available for a project. <\/li>\n
- TRF no longer matches club or other donor donations. It will ONLY match DDF at 80%<\/li>\n
- There is no longer a minimum amount required for a TRF match. The maximum TRF match is currently $400,000.<\/li>\n
- TRF awards of $50,000 or more require additional levels of competition & approval<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
